Maria Rebecca "Becky" Lopez

Maria Rebecca “Becky” Lopez, 93 of Pueblo, CO and formerly of La Junta, CO passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, June 14, 2024. Becky was born February 28, 1931 in LaJunta,CO. She attended LaJunta High School, but later moved to Pueblo and attended Pueblo Catholic High School. After graduating, Becky married Matthew Lopez, the love of her life. She and Matthew shared 74 beautiful years of marriage together. Rebecca worked at the State Hospital and later went on to retire from The University of Southern Colorado. She was strong in her faith and was a member of Our Lady of The Meadows Parish in Pueblo. Rebecca loved to travel the world and spend quality time with her 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Juanita Tafoya (Gonzales); and spouse, Matthew Lopez.

She is survived by Children, Francie (Jerry) Rodgers, Edward Lopez (Debi Partridge); Grandchildren, Alicia (Lawrence) Kelton, Matthew (Ashley) Lopez, Stacey Rodgers, Marisa (Ben) Howarth, Taylor (Sage) Lopez, Tessa (Daren) Wise; Great-Grandchildren, Daylon (D.J.) Storey, Ryan Howarth, Liam Harwarth, Tenley Howarth, Cael Howarth, Avalon Lopez, Ellie Lopez, Edward (Trey) Lopez,III, Aurora Kelton, Suede Lopez, Baby Wise; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and family.

Services for Rebecca will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 at 10:00am at Our Lady of The Meadows Catholic Church with interment to follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens and reception at Imperial Funeral Home Reception Hall.
