

Mario Alberici, 97, passed away May 25, 2011. He was the son of Celestino and Victtoria Alberici, born July 9, 1913, in McCloud, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, John David Pritchard; great-grandson, Justin James Pritchard; one brother and three sisters. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 73 years, Helen of the family home; children, Veronica Pritchard, Eileen (Larry) Whittemore and Mario (Elizabeth Ann) Alberici; 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, soon to be 10; sister, Olga Micheli; sisters-in-law, Christine Bailey and Katherine Bailey; also survived by numerous other relatives. Mario served in the U.S. Army during World War II, receiving the Bronze Star. He worked many years before the military and after in the coal mines throughout Colorado. He was a member of the VFW Minnequa Post No. 3641. He retired in 1975 from the CF & I Steel Mill from the 25-inch Department. Helen Dolores Hudran Alberici, 102, passed away April 18, 2016.
She was the daughter of Anna Angelina Soltis and Michael Hudran. She was born on October 24th, 1913, in Pryor, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mario, of 74 years of marriage. Predeceased by grandson, John David Pritchard; granddaughter, Gina Marie Whittemore Aring; great-grandson, Justin James Pritchard; great-great grandson, Jordan Mario Patrick Wear; four brothers and four sisters. Helen is survived by daughters, Veronica Pritchard, Eileen (Larry) Whittemore, and son, Mario (Elizabeth) Alberici. She is also survived by two sisters, Katherine Bailey and Christine Bailey; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; and twenty-seven great-great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was a loving and caring mother. She loved to crochet, sew, embroidery, cook, and garden. She always had enough food for everyone; you never left her house hungry. Wherever her loving husband was, Helen was there with him, either under a car or washing the dishes. When they went for their daily walks or sitting on the front porch, you would always see them holding hands. Special Thanks to Sangre de Cristo Hospice for their loving care of our Mother.
