Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Mary Zinanti; brothers, Butch, Zep, Bill, Louie, and Steve; sisters, Kathryn “Tats” Haddow and Joan Quine. Survived by loving wife of 62 years, Jan; sons, Bill (Pat), Bob (Debbie), Rick (Donna), Mark (Jehan), and Mike; beloved grandchildren, Nick (Leaha) Zinanti, Christie (Josh) Koschke, Ashley (Kiel) Wahl, Tayler, Hunter, Emily and Zack Zinanti; great grandchildren, Ellie and Millie Zinanti, Brayden Wahl, Nolan Koschke; brother, Roy (Arlene); sisters-in-law, Anne Escheman, Barbara Zinanti and Dora Zinanti; brother-in-law, Ed Verzuh; numerous nieces and nephews and Best Friend of 64 years, Pete Pullara.
Marion grew up in Tioga, Colorado. Graduated from St Mary High School in Walsenburg, Colorado. He served in the US Army from 1953-1955. Attended Pueblo Junior College where he received an AA degree in 1958. Worked at CF&I as a time keeper and senior production clerk, retiring in 1986. He had an amazing sense of humor and a great smile. He enjoyed fishing and trips to Cripple Creek. He was an avid Broncos fan, enjoying the games with the boys and family. What he loved the most was spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren, as well as trips with family and friends to his beloved Tioga. “You can take the boy out of Tioga, but you cannot take Tioga out of the man.”
The family extends special thanks to Bryan Smith who was always there when help was needed, also to Kim and Heather Smith.
There will be no viewing. Memorial Services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, October 11th, 2018 at Holy Family Parrish - 2827 Lakeview Ave. Pueblo, CO 81005 with Father Tomas Carvajal-Basto as Celebrant.
In lieu of food and flowers the family is asking any donations be sent to Sangre de Cristo Hospice, Joni Fair House - 1207 Pueblo Blvd Way, Pueblo, CO 81005.
