Marge Hoody entered Heaven on May 5, 2019, she was 88. Marge joins her parents, Pauline and Bernie Hund; her husband, Albert (Red); and her beloved daughter, Paula Kay. She’ll be reunited with step-mother, Barbara; brothers, Paul and Bernie Jr. Marge will see her special friends, Ciel and Veta, along with her treasured dogs and cats. Marge leaves behind her sons, Gary, Steven and his wife, Maggie; grandsons, Dylan and Connor; and many other cherished family and friends. Marge enjoyed life to the fullest. Even when life’s challenges struck, she fought back with strength and vigor. She was a 1949 Central Wildcat. She worked as an LPN at nursing homes around Pueblo. Devoted to the Catholic faith and adored Mother Mary. Involved in the Legion of Mary and Council of Catholic Woman. Loved spiritual books and music. Her religious highlights were a pilgrimage to Medjugorje, seeing Pope John Paul in Denver and Canada for World Youth Day. She had a blast with her family snow skiing at Monarch and as a member of the Pueblo Boat Club, she water skied with huge rooster tails at the Sand Pit and Lake Minnequa. Creative, she made halloween costumes and decorated for Christmas. Second to none, green chili, blue ribbon potica, and pizzelle cookies. She could often be found tending roses in her garden. A special thanks to her sister, Barb Berg, Belmont Senior Care, and Sharmar Village for their support in keeping Marge comfortable. Family and Friends will never forget you as being the best mother, teacher, and for putting up with Gary’s silliness. We love you, Marge! Family and friends may remember Marge at the visitation, 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, May 13, 2019, at T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home. Funeral service, 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at the Shrine of St Therese.
