MaryAnn Nardini, 97 was born in a coal camp in Lester, Colorado on October 5, 1923. She departed this life on January 15, 2021. She graduated from St Mary High School in Walsenburg and received her nursing degree from St Joseph’s School of Nursing in Denver. She joined the US Navy during World War II and was stationed in Oakland, California. She married her High School sweetheart Domenic Joseph Nardini on January 26, 1946.
MaryAnn loved music, singing, dancing, nature and travel. Cooking for her family and keeping traditions alive with her Potica and Ravioli. She especially loved being a grandma.
She is survived by her children RoseAnn Hausman (Larry Lenzotti), Laura (Jim) Gordon, Robert (Cynthia) Nardini, Carol (Rodney) Furuto. Along with 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Also, her sisters-in-law Pearl Nardini and Clara Patrick.
She is preceded in death by her parents Vigilio Stringari and Rose (Dalfior) Stringari. Along with her husband Domenic, son Nick, grandson Gregory and her eight siblings.
Service is at 10:00 am Friday, January 29 at The Shrine of St. Therese Church. Sadly due to Covid restrictions service attendees are limited to immediate family. Interment at Imperial Memorial Gardens to follow.
