

Mary (Mitzi Pechek) Drobnick, born April 6th, 1928, passed away peacefully October 19th, 2024. The Youngest of 15 children, Mitzi is preceded in death by husband, Al Drobnick, mom, Anna (Mismash) Pechek, dad, Joe Pechek; brothers, (twins) Harvey and Harold, Walter “Laudi” Pechek, Joe (Laura) Pechek, Ludwig “Zack” Pechek, Fred “Coogan” (Millie) Pechek, Frank “Inky” Pechek, Phillip “Hank” (Beverly) Pechek, Charles “Chip” Pechek, Raymond “Razza” (Ann) Pechek, Bob (Mae) Pechek, and Daniel “Guzz” (Mary) Pechek; sisters, Ann (Tony) Giarratano, Elsie (Joe) Chorak; and son-in-law Alfonso J Martinez Jr. Mitzi is survived by her children, Diane (Steve) Drobnick-Wright, Doreen Drobnick-Martinez, Dana Jo (Ray) Eccher; grandchildren, Nick (Savanna) Wilson, Lisl Wilson, Dylan Martinez, twins, Zandria Martinez and Skyla (David Green) Martinez, Mitchell (Jessica) Eccher, twins, Elise (Dante) Garcia and Emily Eccher; great-grandchildren, Vincent Wilson, Gianna Wilson, Riley Wilson, Lincoln Wilson, Vayda Green, Sloan Martinez, and Kamryn Martinez; numerous nieces and nephews; special niece, Charlene Ott; special nephews, Jim Bradish and Dick Giarratano; special buddy and friend, Dr. Jim Stjernholm, MD; special thanks to compassionate Brookdale staff and Hospice House.
Mitzi (Bay) Drobnick graduated from Central High School in 1946 and was honored to have attended all of her high school reunions. She worked at the main office of CF&I Steel for 37 years in data processing and payroll. Mitzi was the past president of the Eagles’ Auxiliary #145 and past president and secretary of the Slovenian No. 3 Lodge. She was given the title of “Mother of the year” at the Slovenian No. 3 Lodge. Mitzi also volunteered at St. Mary Corwin Hospital, babysat many grandchildren, loved dancing, jigsaw puzzles, gambling, reading, adored people and celebrations, and was very proud of her Slovenian heritage and her family.
