

(Mary) Frances Giordano, 92, passed into the arms of God November 11, 2015. She was born in Walsenburg, Colorado to Jacob and Frances Hribar. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, as well as her husband's siblings. Frances married Joseph Giordano in 1941. They celebrated 51 years together before his death in 1992. Survivors include her children Gene (Paula), William, Stan (Liesa), Teri Giordano; grandchildren, Roger (Sheri), Anthony (Scott Branham), Jeff (Kathy), Leanne (Nate Herrera), Michael, Jennifer Giordano, Jason (Heather) Rhine. Ten great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild also survive as well as sisters-in-law Anna and Cora Hribar and numerous nieces and nephews. Frances was an uncomplicated woman with a loving, easy going spirit. Her family was her greatest joy. She spoiled each one in her own special way. She loved to travel, cook and bake. Collecting recipes brought happiness even after she no longer cooked. Her bus trips to Cripple Creek brightened her days. She and Joe were founding members of Our Lady of the Meadows parish. Before his death and her failing health, they could be found in the first pew at every Saturday evening liturgy.
