

Mary J. Ferkul Nottingham affectionally known as Mema, peacefully passed away November 25, 2010 at the age of 95. Mema was born in Pueblo on August 10, 1915, to Frances and Joe Ferkul. She is survived by daughter Shirley Atteberry; grandchildren, Martin (Lisa) Atteberry, Laurie Springfield, Lesa (Dave ) Weitz, and Brad (Melanie) Miller; 10 great grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Preceded in death by daughter Betty Miller, son-in-law Ralph Miller; grandson Brian Miller; son-in-law, Ernie Atteberry; brothers, Frank, Joe and Stanley; sisters, Frances and Stella. Mema was a cook at LaSalle Café for 30 years and retired at the age of 62. Mema was a member of St. Mary’s Parish. Mema was quite a fun character who loved to be surrounded by her family.Viewing 10:00 am to 4:30 pm Wednesday at George McCarthy’s Funeral Home. Mass 10:00 am Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church , with interment following at Roselawn Cemetery.
