Mary Joan Reagan (88), known to everyone here as Joan or Joanie of Beulah, Colorado, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. She was born in Lime, Colorado, on January 27, 1938, the third child of Gilbert and Mary Hicks. Joan was preceded in death by her parents Gilbert and Mary; her stepmother Dorothy Hicks; her sister Gwen; her brothers Lyle and Jack; son Wayne; two great-grandchildren, Naomi and Ragnor; and Carl her husband of over 50 years, who together built a home on their ranch in Beulah where they raised their family.
She is survived by her children, Rod Morris (Hope), Deanna Jones (Don), and Renea Reagan; 16 grandchildren: Heather Simpson (Travis), Philip Morris (Sally), Beth Haggie (Scott), Lori Jacob (Brian), Carrie Medlin (Jonathan), Adam Morris (Nicole), Joel Morris (Hannah), Luke Morris (Andrea), Jonathan Morris ((Abbey), Chad Jones, Andy Jones (Brenda), Joshua Jones (Mimi), Kaylee Jones, Kalee Jones, Darren Jones and Justin Reagan (Lorena); and 34 great-grandchildren with a new grandchild on the way. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; her care giver, Summer Lund, and many other friends.
Joan loved the Lord and was always active in her church teaching Sunday School and leading Bible studies. She will be best remembered as the church organist/pianist for 69 years. She was still playing the piano as recently as August 2, 2026. Professionally, she was a schoolteacher at Corwin Middle School in Pueblo where she spent 26 years teaching English and typing.
Joan’s hobbies and interests included: collecting clocks, dolls, carousels, knick-knacks; looking for arrowheads, working the ranch, watching Carroll Roberson, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grant children (who all loved and adored her); but especially everything about her life as a Christian.
Joan would want to be remembered for her faith in Christ. She was a founding member of Grace Christian Church. At Grace she loved everyone and was loved by everyone. But most of all, she loved her Savior and looked forward to the day that she would see Jesus, face to face in heaven. She would want you to know Jesus just as she did so that one day you can also meet Jesus just as she did at her heavenly homecoming.
She will be missed greatly by everyone who knows her.
A Funeral Service will be held at Grace Christian, 630 Broadway Ave, Pueblo, CO 81004, US, on August 26, 2026, Viewing from 9:30 am until 10:00 am and service to follow at 10:00 am.
