With profound love and immeasurable sorrow, we announce the passing of Michael Marino, who was born on August 3, 1955. Mike was a true man of God, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose life was defined by generosity, warm humor, and unwavering love for his family and friends.
Mike found great pleasure in sharing morning coffee with his wife, Cathy, and in studying God's Word. He devoted his life to serving others and the Lord through his Ministry; he and his beloved dog Maverick would go to UCH Parkview every Saturday to minister to the staff and patients. Throughout the years, he ministered to countless individuals with love, faithfulness, and encouragement, always standing firmly on God's Word. Mike’s heart for service extended far beyond his local community. He made 27 mission trips to Nicaragua, where he helped feed children and minister to those in need. His dedication to helping others reflected the deep faith that guided every aspect of his life.
After retiring as a general contractor following a successful 42-year career, he pursued his calling to minister to others. He served as a grief counselor through his ministry, From Darkness to Daylight Ministries, offering hope and comfort to those facing life's challenges. Most recently, he shared messages of faith on KDZA Radio through the program Faith Matters.
Though our hearts ache, we rejoice in knowing he is in the presence of his savior hearing the words “Well done, good and faithful servant.” He would always say those were the words he longed to hear.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Cathy; his beautiful daughter, Gina Marino; his best pal and son, Michael M. Marino; his daughter-in-law, Morgan Marino; and his beloved grandchildren, the loves of his life Barrett, Harper, and Walker Marino.
Mike is also survived by many dear friends and extended family members, including his favorite Aunt Cathy and Uncle Philip Costanza; Joe and Vivian Costanza and their families; Clara Trani and family; Sam Pantello and family; Tom and Lynn Brunjak; Bill and Robin Duclos.
Preceded in death by his mother Annette Marino and father John Marino, brother David Michael Marino, sister Debbie Solano, and 2 beautiful rainbow grandbabies.
Though our hearts ache with his absence, we rejoice in the assurance that Mike is now at peace in the presence of his Savior. His legacy of faith, love, service, and compassion will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
Services will be held Thursday, June 25, 2026 10am at Family Worship Center.
