Several of Millie's friends from St. Paul the Apostle Church in Pueblo West enjoyed visiting with her.  After her dear friend, Peggy Lauther moved to Albuquerque, Louise Roush, Henrietta Ewing & I visited her & played board games.  Millie was a lovely lady & had many friends.  God bless her & her family.

My sister Millie was always there for me when I needed her.  She accepted her illness with grace.  I will miss her and all the talks we had.  She is now in heaven with our mom and Dad.  I will miss you Millie.   Love Zita

I have many memories that I will cherish of Auntie Millie.   Memories of her teaching me how to make Slovak food.  Family get togethers in Chicago in the basement of there home.    I will cherish these memories.  Rest In Peace Auntie Millie.    

Millie, Zita and Freddie are my Dad's cousins. We all grew up in Chicago. Millie was my sister Fran's Confirmation sponsor and Zita was mine.  My parents were Daniel's Godparents.  Millie was a beautiful soul, everyone loved her.  That is exactly how I remember her "a beautiful soul!"  And a Slovak! Rest in peace Millie!

Your mom was a good friend in my mom's early days in Pueblo West. I believe they met through St. Paul the Apostle Church and they were close by neighbors. I met Millie after I moved to Colorado to attend the University. She was kind enough to take my mom to the college and university to gather information for me to attend when I arrived. Once here, your mom helped me with the forms and gave me lots of invaluable information on the admissions process, student loans, etc...
I really liked her sense of humor she was a very special person that I will remember fondly.

My name is Karen Sorensen Akin. We at SRDA had helped provide some housecleaning assistance for your Mom when she lived by Larry and Cecilia in Pueblo West. But mostly I was remembering that Millie and my father, Erik Sorensen used to play dominoes/games, and spend some friendship time before he passed away 10 years ago. He was grateful for someone that remembered Chicago life, and someone with whom he could share his nature photographs (she displayed them in her dinette area). Millie also gave me some plant cuttings that are overflowing out of two pots in my bay window to this day... I am glad that you placed an obituary in the paper. I knew she had moved to Colorado Springs, but that was the last I heard. She had also played a role in my colleague's life. You never know how many lives have been touched... Blessings to you--
