

Nicholas Napoleon, age 80, of Pueblo, Colorado passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, surrounded by his family and friends. Nicholas was born in Trenton New Jersey to the union of Nicola and Elizabeth Napoleon (nee' Peruzzi) from Abruzzi, Italy. Nicholas was a graduate of Trenton Central High School. He later went on to attend The College of New Jersey. Later he received a Master’s degree. He taught History for over 40 years in Freehold, New Jersey and headed his local teachers' union for several years as well. He served in the United States Army in the Vietnam War and also the Peace Corps in Iran. Nicholas’ background in education gave him a strong belief in fairness. Those who knew him will remember him for his sense of humor, kindness towards others, his strong love for family, and giving the best hugs. Nicholas loved his dog Bougie Principessa Napoleon, who was an incredible part of his life, Bougie was his love. Nicholas had many joys in life, some of which were; cooking, spending time with his family, and friends who were like family and traveling the world where he learned about many different customs and world cultures.
Nicholas is preceded in death by his parents, Nicola and Elizabeth, Brothers, Anthony Napoleon and Joseph Napoleon.
He is survived by his sisters, Mary Saboski, and Jean (Thomas) Volk; Daughter, Leah (John) Russell; Granddaughters, Montana Russell, India Russell, Sage Russell and Sahara Russell; Along with numerous well loved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Nicholas will take place Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 11am at Imperial Funeral Home.
