Dear, dear Laurie, I just watched the tribute to your mom, and it epitomizes her beautifully.  She was always smiling.  I have wonderful memories of the many weekends I spent at your house, and loved both of your parents like my own.  They always welcomed me with open arms.  I have no doubt they are in Heaven, together, wrapping their loving arms around Lexie.  You now have three angels watching over you From Heaven.  You are in my thoughts and prayers. IF I HAD TO CHOOSE ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE MY AUNT NORA IT WOULD BE DIGNITY. AND TALKINGTO SOME OF YOU WHO GOT TO SPEND TIME WITH HER BEFORE SHE PASSED, SHE SHOWED THIS TO BE TRUE EVEN TO THE END.DEBBI AND I USE TO ENJOY OUR VISITS WITH MY AUNT.LOOKING BACK, OUR CONVERSATIONS ALWAYS SEEMED TO TURN TO OLD MEMORIES OF FAMILY.ON ONE PARTICULAR VISIT WE FOUND OURSELVES TALKING ABOUT TREES.TWO IN PARTICULAR,ONE WHICH GROWS IN MY AUNTS BACK YARD AND ONE WHICH GROWS IN MY MOMS OLD HOUSE ON EVANS. THESE TREES WERE GROWN FROM SEEDS MY MOM & AUNT HAD GATHERED FROM THE HOSPITAL COURTYARD WHERE HER MOTHER HAD STAYED BEFORE SHE PASSED.MY AUNT THAN BEGAN TELLING US OF THE VERY DIFFICULT TIME SHE HAD AFTER GRANDMA PASSED SHE SAID SHE COULD NOT GET OVER THE HURT & SORROW FOR A VERY LONG TIME.UNTIL ONE DAY WHEN HER MOTHER APPEARED TO HER IN A VISION OR DREAM.AND THEN AN ONLY THEN WAS SHE ABLE TO COME TO TERMS WITH HER LOSS,HER BURDEN LIFTED.AND THAN I HAD A VIVID AND BEAUTIFUL MEMORY. I REMEMBER THE DAY I WENT TO SEE GRANDMA AT THE FUNERAL HOME.IN TEARS AS I STOOD BEFORE HER I COULD NOT BELEAVE HOW BEAUTIFUL SHE LOOKED .SHE WAS WEARING A PINK DRESS THAT THE GIRLS HAD CHOSEN FOR HER BUT WHAT WAS REALLY AMAZEING IS THAT GRANDMA WAS GLOWING WITH A BEAUTIFUL LIGHT.I LEFT HER BELEAVING THAT SHE HAD BECOME AN ANGEL.SO AUNT NORA.BECAUSE THE HURT IS SO DEEP AND SORROW IS SO GREAT FOR MANY OF US I WILL NOT SAY GOOD BYE BUT RATHER FAREWLLL UNTIL I SEE YOU AGAIN.SO VIA CON DIOS TIA

In my youth we spent several Christmases with Grandma and Grandpa. I loved her tamale-making process in preparation for the big dinner. Although we were never allowed in the kitchen,  we  anxiously kept tabs on what was happening in the kitchen. waiting for those amazing tamales and a special dinner.  Those were cherished Christmas memories. 

We are blessed to have had her in our lives.

first husband Joseph Solano; 
grand-daughter Alexa “Lexie” Wach; 
sisters Flora Salas and Leona “Jane” Templeton. 

She is survived by her daughters, Christine
(Ron) Dehn, Laurie Gomez, Patricia Hill and Priscilla Woodward; 
grandchildren Walt (Jana) Jolly, Melissa (Mark) Fairbairn, Bryan Dehn, Jeremy (Maggie) Dehn, Sidney Wach, Cole (Caitlin) Woodward, Lyal (Brandi) Sandry, Andrea (Jake) Sandry Jensen, Sabrina (Karl) Sandry Roberts,
Carl Hill; 
15 great-grandchildren; 
sister Grace Vialpando; 
brother Ernest (Esther) Romero; 
numerous nieces and nephews; and her chosen family, Amy Wolf & Dean Volk, Sara, Samuel and Benjamin Volk, Adele Anderson and Jesus Lopez.
