Nora L. (Lock) Sedillo passed away at her home in Northglenn Heights Assisted Living Facility September 8, 2023. Nora was born January 3, 1929, in Plymouth, Michigan, to Arthur J and Irene E (Showers) Lock. Just shy of her 16th birthday, she married Arthur E. Sedillo on Dec 16, 1945, in Plymouth, Michigan and to this union were born six children.
While living in Michigan, Nora and Art were employed at the Daisy Air Rifle Factory. They moved to Penrose, Colorado, when their four oldest children were quite young and spent the remainder of their married life here. While living in Penrose, Nora worked at Valley View Nursing Home and later at Estes Industries, as a supervisor in the print shop, until her retirement.
A lifelong Seventh-day Adventist, Nora was devoted to her faith in Jesus Christ. She was a long-time member of the Canon City Seventh-day Adventist Church where she served in many areas including Sabbath School Teacher, Head Deaconess, Deaconess, Pathfinder Director, and loved to play piano for many different divisions.
Nora enjoyed a loving 67-year relationship with her husband, Art, who preceded her in death in 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Elaine McIntosh; brother, John Spencer Lock; daughter, Judy A. Bowersox; granddaughter, Rebekah Kennedy and great-grandson, Glenn Ott. She is survived by children: Arthur J. “Lonnie” (Patti) Sedillo, Suzette L. (Roger) Keefner, Wanda N. (Clayton) Hart, Tina L. Pearsall and Joseph M. (Crystal) Sedillo; 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren (with one on the way), 2 great-great-grandchildren; niece Cherie Mills; nephews James, Robert and Keith Johnson; numerous other relatives and countless friends.
Funeral service will be held at the Canon City Seventh-day Adventist Church, 3180 E. Main St., Monday, September 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside service and interment to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Imperial Memorial Gardens, 5450 W State Hwy 78, Pueblo, Colorado, 81005. Services entrusted to Imperial Funeral Home.
