Ottilia Eileen Meserve

Ottilia Eileen (Ferriter) Meserve, 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2014. She was born on December 16, 1929, at St. Mary Corwin Hospital in Pueblo. Pinky to her friends, loved her work for over 30-years as an Elementary School Teacher. To her teaching was not work, but a passion. She was loved and respected by everyone that knew her. After retiring from teaching, she enjoyed traveling with her husband Dick, along with visiting her children and grandchildren as often as she could. She loved spending time in the mountains and especially on family property in the Wet Mountains. She is survived by her loving husband of 58-years, Richard (Dick) Meserve; her 4 children, Bill (Kay) Meserve, Bob Meserve, Margaret (Rich) Myers, Rick (Linda) Meserve; and two grandchildren, Darren Myers and RJ Meserve; along with her brother, Robert (Sandy) Ferriter, and sister, Dorothy (Ralph) Hinrichs, and numerous nieces and nephews. Public viewing will be from 5-7 pm followed by Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, at T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family, respectfully request the donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or the Sangre de Cristo Hospice. The family would also like to thank the staff at both the Sangre de Cristo Hospice and Wynwood Senior Living Center for their care and support. Dear Dick & Family,

Pete & I are so sorry to hear of your loss. I have many good memories of Eileen at Highland Park. Eileen & I sat outside at Wynwood on a beautiful fall day last year. She was feeling well & growing stronger each day.

We are sorry that we were unable to be with you to celebrate her life. We are out of town for an extended time. May many fond memories warm your hearts & bring a smile to your faces.
