

Pabla “Pauline” L. Alire, 99. Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother went to be with our Senor on December 5, 2014. Pabla was born May 5, 1915 in Santa Rosa, NM and raised by her Godmother until the age of 8. Pabla married Paul Sandoval at the age of 14 and moved to Colorado. Pabla has been a Pueblo resident since 1934.Preceded in death by parents Juan and Rebecca (Sena) Gonzales. Husbands Paul Sandoval and Enrique “Henry” J. Alire (Ojo Caliente, NM). Brother Juan Gonzales (Pueblo, CO); sisters: Felista Jarmillo (Anton Chico, NM), Martha Rodriguez (Clovis, NM), Sally Lovato (Denver, CO), Mela Evans (Michigan); Children: Margarita, Fred (Pueblo, CO), Charlie (Chicago, IL), and Leroy Sandoval (La Verne, CA).Survived by Brother Octaviano Gonzales; Children: Joe (Inez), Erma (John), Paul (Margaret) Sandoval, Alice Oliva; Henry (Pueblo, CO), Viola (Phoenix, AZ), Fred (Cathy), and Abel Alire both of Pueblo, CO.We will miss her story telling and her sense of humor. Pabla loved her babies, making quilts and gifting them to her kids and grand kids. She loved tending to her roses, canning which included her own jams and fruits. She was no stranger to hard work and instilling that value onto her kids. She loved to dance to her favorite Mexican music, let’s not forget she loved an occasional beer or two. Pabla has a village of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great-Great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
