

Peggy Lee Villers (Zimmer), a loving wife and devoted sibling, aunt and friend, passed away on April 5, 2023. She was born July 4, 1959, in Fort Collins, Colorado, to Bill and Lee (Bartos) Zimmer. On October 8, 1988, she married Dale Villers, and for 35 years they built a life together, sharing their love of nature, the outdoors, and each other. Peggy earned her Registered Nursing degree from Pueblo Community College and spent her life serving others in the health care industry as an EMT, paramedic, nurse and health professional.
Peggy enjoyed gardening, cooking and canning, fishing, hiking, and spending time with family and her Chesapeakes Sitka, Toolik and new puppy Illie. She was an avid sports fan - cheering on her favorite teams including Nebraska football, the Broncos, the Rockies and especially the Avalanche. Some of her favorite trips were to Spain, Australia, Canada, Belize, Alaska and especially Glacier National Park.
To cherish her memory is her husband Dale, brother Scott Zimmer (Annette); sisters, Nancy Zimmer and Cathy Zimmer (Jim Foust); three nephews, Zach Zimmer, Brent Zimmer, Nick Zimmer (Shantell Monea) and niece Taylor Hayworth; and two grandnephews Hayden Hayworth and Auggie Zimmer; as well as other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, to whom she was a dedicated companion and care giver.
Peggy will be remembered for her sense of humor, kind heart, support for family and friends, her sense of adventure and her enthusiasm for sharing joyous occasions and a glass of fine wine. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, April 13, at 11 a.m. at the Imperial Memorial Gardens Chapel followed by a reception.
