

Phil was born June 30,1954 in Pueblo, Colorado. He was a graduate of South High School and worked as a carman for the railroad retiring after 41 years. Phil proudly served his country for four years in the Navy as part of the air crew assigned on the P3 aircraft. He was deployed to Okinawa and was stationed in Hawaii thereafter.
Phil loved being home. He was meticulous with yard work, loved cooking, eating, and watching every sport made to man!
He is survived by his life partner Linda Del George of 23 years; his two sons, Zachary Cottingham (Kristen) and Michael Cottingham (Edith); four loving grandchildren, Lux, Reece, Sean and Eliana; three sisters, Kathleen Cottingham, Debra (Cottingham) Paparelli Rivero (Manuel), Elizabeth Gomez (Jerry); two brothers, Arland Cottingham (Rhonda), Tony Wurster (Michele); cousins Joe Polito (Karen), Jimmy Polito, Floyd Pray, Neil Cottingham; Douglas Haarstad (Gail), Jeff Cottingham (Michelle) and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by grandparents: Joe Polito (Virginia); Earl Cottingham (Helen); Parents, Weldon Cottingham, Mary Ann (Polito) Wurster (James); Uncles “Baby” Joe Polito, Wesley Cottingham (Marian), Louise Haarstad (Oscar); cousins David Pray, Julia Cottingham and many more we hold dear to our hearts.
Services with Military honors will be held at 11 am, Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024 at the Imperial Memorial Gardens located at 5450 CO-78, Pueblo,CO 81005
Friends and relatives are invited to meet up with the family at 3 pm, Saturday after the service, at Rosario’s Italian Bistro located at 1110 W Highway 50 in Pueblo. We look forward to sharing this time together.
A graveside committal for Phillip will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Imperial Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5450 Highway 78 West, Pueblo, Colorado 81005.
