Phyllis Jo Robling, 91, passed away peacefully at home in Pueblo Colorado on July 22, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Phyllis was born on November 3, 1933 in Roosevelt, Oklahoma. She met the love of her life, Richard Jackson Robling at Lawton High School in 1949. The high school sweethearts would marry in 1953. They moved their rapidly expanding family to Pueblo Colorado in 1970. Richard and Phyllis were married for 62 years until his death on May 14, 2014. Phyllis is also preceded in death by her grandson Seth Elijah Mascarenas (31) of Pueblo Colorado. She is survived by her 8 children, Donna (Michael) Wodiuk, Karen (Eddie) Mascarenas, Gina (Nathan) Bornschein, Sherri (Scott) Hopper, Rich (Angelique) Robling, Chrystal Bond, Angela (Jon) Lucero and Moriah (Dylan) Margerum. She is also survived by her best friend Marina Gallery and the family’s long time friend and Hospice Nurse, Bambi Creek. Phyllis was a loving grandmother to 16 grandchildren and endearingly called GG by 7 great grandchildren. Phyllis was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1953 and she remained dedicated to Jehovah until her last breath. She was a loyal and supportive wife and mother, who although had many mouths to feed and different interests to foster, always made sure that the faith of her family was intact and was first and foremost in their lives. Phyllis created a safe, warm and inviting home with an open door policy for all who were or weren’t invited. Richard and Phyllis were modest in their lifestyle; instead preferring to share their time and faith with others and to expend anything extra monetarily onto their children or those in need. Phyllis was the consummate matriarch of a large but loving brood and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. So until we again get to hear her say, “well hello my dear” we will hold tight to her precious memory.
