Redell Trimm Reed born March 7, 1922 in Slayton, Texas passed away January 19, 2018 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at her daughter’s home. Preceeded in death by her parents Earl and Myrtle Trimm, and husband Reagan Reed. Survived by sister Earline Pograjc, and nephew Ed Pograjc who remain in the family home; children Mary (Tim) Malone, Wayne Gray, Jack (Debra) Gray, and Doylene (Darrel) Gorham; grandchildren Jenelle, Mandy, Missy, Larry, Kari, Christin, Joseph, Saundra, Sharee, and Cyndi; as well as 25 great-grandchildren, cousins, various family members, and many friends that she considered family. Redell graduated from Centennial High School in Pueblo, Colorado in 1940. She went on to receive her BA from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and 2 Masters Degrees in the education field. She worked as a school teacher for over 30 years as a Title I reading specialist, and various other subjects. She received accolades in Who’s Who among American teacher, for her work specifically in Title I. Besides teaching she enjoyed many church callings, specifically in genealogy where she worked for over 20 years in the L.D.S Family History Center spending countless hours helping and encouraging anyone to trace their ancestry. One of the most difficult things in her life was leaving her sister, Earline, and nephew, Ed, church and many longtime friends in her beloved Pueblo to move to Albuquerque to be cared for by her daughter. Redell loved life and lived it to the fullest. She will be greatly missed by many. Viewing will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 from 4 to 8 at Adrian Comer Funeral Home; service will be Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 1411 Fortino Blvd. at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
