

Richard Lee Hammond, of Pueblo CO, passed away in Denver CO, March 12th, 2023. Richard, best known as Rick was born in Frederick, Maryland June 30th, 1953. He met and married the love of his life, Paula; with whom he shared two beautiful daughters and forty-two wonderful years together. He adored spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Rick cherished valuable friendships, some lasting more than fifty years.
Rick was an outstanding automotive salesman for over thirty years, most recently with Wilcoxson. He cherished close relationships with his customers many of them being repeat customers that lasted into generations. Rick was known for being down to earth and having a heart felt sense of humor in which he built great relationships. People looked up to Rick as a valued mentor and admirable person.
In his free time Rick enjoyed watching all sports, especially Colorado teams, hiking, fishing, BBQing and wood working. His love for outdoors led him to fulfilling his lifetime dream of building a cabin with his father-in-law John in San Isabel. He was so very proud of the cabin and it was a true labor of love that he shared with his family and friends. Fond memories of fishing trips with Rick’s loved ones meant everything to him.
Left to treasure his memory, his wife Paula, daughters; Lauren (Jason) and Kaylan (Tyler), grandchildren; Harlow and Decklen, along with siblings Deb Porter, Dave Hammond, Karen Al-Ghareeb, Dwayne Hammond, and Chuck Hammond and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Leeland , brother Royce and sister LeeAnn.
A celebration of his life will take place at a later date. We appreciate your condolences.
