His grandchildren will miss him very much: Frank (Heather) Wodiuk of Mesa, AZ, Geoffrey (Telisha) Newman of Wiley, CO, Heather Ward of Colorado Springs, CO, and Kelly (Ben Mascarenas) Frank of Florissant, CO. His great-grandchildren will miss their Papa: Dallas, Edgar, Aydin, Cody, and Lily. He left behind his sister, Georgette Spencer, Batavia, IL; Brother-in-law, Bill Jeter, Elburn, IL; special niece Cindy (Tim) Spencer, Batavia, IL; and many relatives and friends he loved. Dick served in the US Air Force from 1950 – 1954. He worked for standard fire brick-clay mines, Walters Brewery, and retired from the University of Southern Colorado in 1987. He and Jackie loved to collect beer items and go to flea markets and yard sales to pick up goodies for the family. Along the way Dick made many friends and was well liked. He had a different story to tell for every day. Dick had a great sense of humor and telling his stories had everyone in hysterics. He lived his life well, was a good husband, dad, and grandpa, and a good man. He leaves behind a legacy of humor, courage, and love, and will be missed forever. Dick will be joining those who went before him: wife Jacquiline; brother and sister-in-law Calvin Drum and Norma Koykka; niece Samantha Jacquiline Drum; parents, Emma and George Magill; and sister Karen Jeter. At his request, there will be no viewing. Graveside service, 2 pm Wednesday, Imperial Memorial Gardens. Donations in Dick’s memory may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation through the funeral home.
