Richard "Dicky" Tredway

Dicky attended Lake County High School and Job Corp. He later served in the United States Navy.

He devoted himself to Search and Rescue. He also served as a volunteer firefighter, giving his time and courage to protect his community. In his working life, Dicky earned numerous awards from Century casino in recognition of being an outstanding employee—honors that reflected not only dedication, but the pride he took in doing things well.

Outside of work and service, Dicky found joy in photography and traveling, always drawn to the next place to see and the next moment worth capturing. His interest in search and rescue was more than a role; it was part of who he was.

Dicky’s legacy is one of strength, kindness, and generosity, carried with a spirited edge that friends and family came to expect and cherish. He could be very ornery—giving everyone a hard time in a playful way—and he especially enjoyed “one” upping everyone with even cooler stuff.

Dicky was preceded in death by Mom, Mary Lou Selvage; step father, Charles Humphrey; aunt, Barbara Sadusky; and other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by daughter, Tina Tredway; sons, Richard and Jay Fierro; daughter-in-law Trista Fierro; uncle, James Selvage; adoptive daughter, Ana Vasquez; grandkids, Emilio, Carlos, Diego, Ka'Leigh, Madelynn, Annalycia, Selena, Alezundrea, Mariana, Kyra, Destynee, and Isacc; great grandbabies, Mateo, Antonio, Izaiah, Eliana, Zane, Zion, and Ilijah; brother, Ernie Trusty; and countless other loved ones.
