

Rick Kent Hernandez, 63, passed away February 18, 2025 in Pueblo, Colorado. Born in Pueblo, he was the son of Raymond Edward Hernandez and Frances Montano Hernandez. Rick graduated from Centennial High School, and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1982 to 1991. He was an aircraft mechanic and maintenance specialist. After the military, he attended USC College, and worked as a computer analyst. Rick enjoyed computers, music, and animals.
Rick was preceded in passing by his parents Raymond and Frances Hernandez; brothers James Hernandez and Raymond Vincent Esquibel; sister Ruth Johnston; and nephew Micheal Fisher.
He is survived by his sisters Marie Hodges, Irene Basta, and Rose Hernandez; brothers, John Hernandez, and JJ Hernandez; nephews and nieces Wesley Fisher (Mary), John “Little John” Hernandez, Grace Hernandez, Jennifer Strahlem (Derek) Frances Lynch (Jim), Tammy Langloss (Anthony), Becky Liverman (Pat), Raymond “RJ” Esquibel Jr., Priscilla Sanchez (Christopher), Vicky Vasquez and Mike Basta (Alison), as well as numerous other nieces and nephews; special friends Michael Beck, Andy Barela, and Diane Garrison, and his fur baby Charlie Brown.
A memorial service for Rick will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 4pm at Mr. B’s, 2300 Lake Avenue, Pueblo. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Rick’s name to PAWS or the Humane Society.
