Robert taught school in Pueblo County Schools from 1956 thru 1991. He was also a Coach at Pueblo County High for 21 years and earlier at Avondale Elementary and Excelsior Junior High. He loved his students and athletes and treated them as his own kinds in my situations.
He also served on the Pueblo Rural District Board for 18 years before moving out of the district, most of those as Chairman.
Robert also farmed after his father’s death in 2001, sold the farm and moved to the city of Pueblo. Then he moved to Loveland, Colorado, a city he truly loved in his later years.
Bob met and adopted Terry Jones as his son soon after retirement. Bob treated Terry as the son he never had.
Bob, Terry, and Louie traveled and went to countless concerts. He was very happy to introduce Terry as his Son every chance he got. Terry took great care of him, waiting on him hand and foot, taking him everywhere he needed to go. What a tremendous blessing Teryy was. Also, Louie Dionese helped care for Bob and loved him as well.
Robert leaves special family and friends behind, especially cousin Beverly, who was like the sister he never had.
Thanks to special Dr. Zachary Flake for his loving care.
