Roy Smith Sr., 81, of Beulah, passed away peacefully on Thursday,July 5, 2018. Roy was born November 4, 1936. Roy was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Rebia and siblings Robbie, Ray, Ross, and Hazel. Roy worked for the Pueblo Chieftain for 34 years until he retired in 1998. Roy was a caring father, being a father for a short time to two of his nieces. He enjoyed living his quiet life in Beulah. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his BMW motorcycle. He was a giving man who would always find a way to help out those in need, even if it meant scraping together every penny he could find. He would always donate to the St. Labre Indian School in Ashland, Montana. He is survived by his children Roy Jr. (Mary) Smith and Shelley Smith; four grandchildren; brother Rex (Nita); as well as many extended family member and friends. Roy's Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, July 12th in the Imperial Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Imperial Memorial Gardens. The family would like to send a big thank you to the team at Sangre De Cristo Hospice and the ICU team at Parkview Medical Center for all their love and dedication to Roy.
