Rufino Montoya, 83, born May 7, 1932 in Penasco, NM to the union of Jose and Rose Resendo and passed away August 7, 2015 in Colorado Springs, CO. Survived by his loving children, John Montoya, Jennie L. Keck, Sam Montoya and Dorothy Velasquez; grandchildren, Amanda Aldarette, Willie Montoya, Erica Montoya, Darlene Staples, Heather Torres, Angel Torres, Rachel Velasquez and Morgan Velasquez; sister, Virginia Cano; brothers, Joe E. Montoya, Solano (Thelma) Montoya. Preceded in death by past spouses, Connie Montoya, Doris Montoya and Laura Montoya; and parents; brother, Desiderio D. Montoya. Rufino served during the Korean War in the US Army and later retired from the Pueblo Army Depot after 33 years of service on May 22, 1987. He was an amazing father who will be dearly missed.
