My strongest recollection was of his gratitude when I was able to intervene in the course of an illness of one of his family members. I'm glad that I could make a difference. My father enjoyed his company a great deal. He will be missed.

Over the years I would see uncle Russ at different places or family functions and he was always very cordial. He would always give me a hug and call me babe. It wasn't until recently I was able to spend more time with him and get to know him better. I always looked forward to the times I got to visit him and I'm glad I got to know him better. I know he's at peace now and that is a comfort and a blessing. I love you all and I'm keeping you close in my thoughts and prayers.
