Sally Ann Butcher (nee Hamilton), aged 97, went to be with our Lord September 6, 2024, in Denver, Colorado. Born on August 11, 1927 in Kansas City, Missouri, she lived a fulfilling life dedicated to her family and community.
Sally was a devoted homemaker, a role she cherished deeply, providing a warm and loving environment for her family. She married Oliver Dee Butcher, who preceded her in death, along with their son Dennis Butcher, parents Hazel Wyatt Hamilton and Raymond Hamilton, and her brother John Hamilton.
She leaves behind a large and loving family, including her son, David Butcher and wife Sharon; daughters Susan Williams and husband Frank, and Sharon Naslund and partner Brian; her sister, Linda Hamilton; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great grandchildren, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Sally was a lifelong member of Christ the King Church, where she was also a dedicated volunteer. Her commitment to her faith and community was evident through her numerous volunteer activities, including her involvement with the Special Olympics. Sally also had a passion for square dancing in her early years, making crafts, and contributing her time and energy to church activities.
The funeral arrangements are entrusted to Imperial Funeral Home and Cemetery in Pueblo, Colorado. Sally’s life and legacy will be celebrated and remembered by all those she touched with her kindness and devotion.
A viewing will be held, Friday September 20, 2024 at 9am at Christ the King Church, followed by Funeral Mass at 10am, and entombment to follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens.
