Samantha Fern Prien was born Oct. 25, 1967, in Grants, New Mexico. She was the daughter of Robert Ray Goodale and Laquida, “Joy,” Goodale. She passed peacefully in her sleep on Dec. 27, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.
She loved the outdoors, socialization activities, daytime TV soap operas/game shows, and most importantly spending quality time with her husband “Andrew,” and her lovely dog, “Tito.” Samantha grew up in Grants and lived most of her life there. She loved her professions as a Correctional Officer and a Certified Nursing Assistant. She shared her beautiful smile and laughter with everyone around her. Making and keeping friends with any stranger was a unique quality of hers, which she truly valued in her daily life.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Ray Goodale and Laquida “Joy” Goodale and sister Shannon Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew Prien, two sons, Trent and Quincy and her three brothers Rusty, David and Buddy.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at Elkins Ranch, Bluewater, New Mexico.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday Jan. 10 at Imperial Funeral Home, Pueblo, Colorado.
