Mr. Sandy Olivas

Santos "Sandy" Olivas, 94, of Pueblo, Colo., began his eternal life on April 14, 2023. He was born on July 19, 1928, in Greeley, Colo. to parents, Joe Cornelio and Margaret Olivas as the first of 10 children. Santos was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jessie Marie Garcia Olivas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe Harry Olivas (Lala Montoya), Felix Wayne Olivas, and Rita Maes Olivas; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elsie Olivas (Ted) Doxtater, Esther Olivas (Eppie) Gonzales, Gloria Olivas (Carl) Galpin, Dolores Olivas, and Ned Baros. Sandy is survived by his brother Jerry (Sylvia) Olivas; his sisters, Patricia Olivas Baros, and Florence Olivas (Saul) Trujillo; his children, Sandra Olivas Smith (Randall Kurtz) and Yvonne Olivas Peattie; his grandchildren, Dustin Solano (Caregiver), Samantha (Ryan) Horn, Sydnie Smith, Timothy (Sarah) Peattie, Kelly Peattie (Victor Olvera), and Tyler Peattie; great grandchildren, Renesmee and Inra Horn, and Giovanni, Gerardo, and Jordan Olvera Olivas; Austin Peattie, and numerous nephews and nieces. Santos and his wife, Jessie, enjoyed family gatherings and especially the dancing. Santos enjoyed singing with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; "Que Sera Sera", "You Are My Sunshine", and "Remember Me", were the top three.

Rest in peace brother, uncle, grandfather, and dad. You will be forever in our hearts.

Services are scheduled for Wednesday April 26th, 2023 at 11:00 am at T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home, 329 Goodnight Ave, Pueblo, CO 81005 with Reception to follow. All are encouraged and invited to attend after the service.

Inurnment service will be held privately at Union Highlands Cemetery, Florence, Colorado.
