My life has been so blessed by knowing Shirley. We met in Jr. Hi. School in Denver. Had so much fun with all our other group; Friday night pot-lucks & then movies downtown.  All separated many years as families grew up; I moved to Calif., Ann to Conn., & Carrie to Calif.  Then in 1985 we had a reunion & what a reunion!! Decided to do it every year & we did.  Until she became ill.  Bless her, my dear life-time friend.  She suffered for over 2 years & is now free of any pain & suffers no more.  I miss her dearly, but know I shall see her again some day!

I have so many wonderful memories of my Aunt Shirley. When I was young every summer she would take the family to Love Ranch and I would always come along for a few days.  Pam and I would have so much fun.  She loved the beauty of the mountains. As I grew up she became a very important part of my life.  When my Mom passed away Shirley stepped in, she was always there for me through good and bad.  I could always count on her.  We would have lunch together when she lived in Aurora, we always went to Olive Garden and had the “all you can eat soup and salad”, she loved that! We would sit and talk and talk until the waiter started giving us dirty looks!  I would drop in on her un-announced and no matter what she was doing, she would drop everything with a big smile and sit and talk for as long as I could stay.  She was truly the most caring, un-selfish, loving person I have ever known.  I love you “my dear”, you will be truly missed.

Grandma,  She was one of the sweetest ladies you'll ever meet.  She had a smile you could never forget.  Every time I see plastic fruit I will think of her.  When we were younger you would take us places we would never had gone on our own.  Light the Light, Botanical Gardens and many more.  We would rent movies, go to dinner at Three Sons.  Dom would sleep on the pull out couch and me on the other couch.  I know your happier now, in the place you belong, looking down on us.   You will always be an angel in my eyes.  Watch over us as we grow old and Lucas grows up.  I'll be sure to always tell him stories about you.  What a strong woman you were.  I am thankful for everything you have done for me.  We will all miss you very much.  Rest in Peace Grandma.   I'll see you again. Until then I know you'll always be in my heart.  Love you Rachelle.

I came to know Shirley when we started doing bible study together, and she became a treasured friend and sister in the Lord. I will miss the time we spent together, but I know I will see her again in eternity. My sincere sympathy goes out to her children and family.

I worked with Shirley at Swedish in Denver and was in touch with her a day or two before her death. What a gem she was -- so jovial and fun to be around, and she laughed! She had such a love for her family and friends and was so grateful for you all. May God bless her memory. I was blessed by knowing her.

Aunt Shirley was loved by all and has left behind a thousand moments that will live in your hearts forever...(She always had a camera and has alot of pictures of food).  There is another big star in the sky for Shirley.
