Shirley June (Wood) Gagliano

Shirley June (Wood) Gagliano, 92, passed away Sunday, September 23rd 2018. She was born June 11, 1926 in Pueblo, CO to Bertha and Oval Wood who preceded her in death along with her husband, Tony, her son, Greg, and her sister, Jean. Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She touched many lives through her career teaching for District 60. Shirley always had her nose in a book, was an avid Rockies fan, had a “green thumb”, was an exquisite seamstress, had a passion for photography, loved swimming, and had a love for everything related to nature. She was a lifelong member of Ascension Church as well as an active member of Daughters of The King. Shirley also enjoyed her membership with the Territorial Daughters of Colorado. Most of all Shirley loved her family and leaves to cherish her memory; her children, Marylu Gagliano of Albuquerque, NM, and Becky (Paul) Romero of Loveland, CO; grandchildren Kelli (Derrick) Jones of Johnstown, CO and Tyler Romero of Loveland, CO; and great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Leila Jones; four beloved nieces and many other precious relatives and friends. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Ascension Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery, Rye, CO.
