

Talo Nava, 91, went to be with the Lord on January 17, 2015. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Flora; grandsons, Gary Sneed and Roman Nava; daughter-in-law, Pam Nava; son-in-law, Richard Sneed; parents, Pedro and Maria Nava; siblings, Eleuterio, Ruth, Pete, Charlotte, Eleanor and Lola. Survived by all 13 of his children, Dolly Sneed, Luther (Rita), Frances (Henry), Elifonso (Rose), Robert (Aggie), Lydia (Arthur) Trujillo, Susie (Clarence) Mondragon, Andy, Madelyn (Rodney) Schoch, Chip (Karyn), Brian, Timothy (Colleen) and Tracy (Rudolpho) Lopez; 26 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; siblings, Margarito (Tiny), Rachel (Manuel) Martinez, Ruth (Zeke) Martinez, Maxine (Lionel) Chicas, Juan and Lena. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Talo was born on May 4, 1923 in Castle Rock, CO and was raised in Pueblo, CO. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII as a ball turret gunner and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. He married Flora Armijo on December 7, 1942 and remained married to her until her death in September 2000. He was a life-long employee and retiree of the Pueblo Army Depot. He was a devoted supporter of Centennial High School, from which all his children and many of his grandchildren graduated. He loved watching sports and television game shows. Most of all, he loved his family. Viewing will be held from 6-9 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 21, 2015 all held at Adrian Comer Funeral Home. Funeral Mass 11 a.m., Thursday, January 22, 2015 at St. Pius Catholic Church. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow burial at the church hall.
