Toni Christensen (Butkovich), born December 19th, 1948 in Lafayette, Indiana entered into rest October 6th, 2019 in Pueblo, Colorado. She graduated from South High School (Pueblo) in 1966, and from Colorado State University in 1971. While at college she met her husband David S. Christensen, and was married June 14th, 1969. Toni achieved her Masters Degree in Social work at Loyola University Chicago in 1992, and practiced as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She is survived by her mother Mary Butkovich, her two children John Christensen and Heidi Christensen, her sister Terri Butkovich, and her three grandchildren Madelyn, Spencer, and Tyler.

I had the honor in working with Toni for many years through the same organization. As a counselor, I learned so much from her. She was very hard working and dedicated to the field. She will definitely be missed.

I am so saddened to hear of Toni's passing. She was a colleague at Spanish Peaks Mental Health years ago. I will remember her as a dedicated professional and a strong advocate for her clients and coworkers. And of course, her creativity and love for her cats. :)
