Tony worked in the construction industry for most of his career. He never met a stranger. Made everyone feel welcomed with his enthusiastic ‘howdy howdy’. Loved spending time with family, fishing and playing slot machines in Cripple Creek. He was a devoted member of the Southwest Church of Christ.
Tony was preceded in death by his son Ron Marquez, brother Bobby, sister Irene and parents. He is survived by son Anthony Marquez, daughters Gloria Baca (Ray) and Shirley Potestio (John), daughter-in-law Kathleen Marquez, ex-wife Viola Marquez and companion Diane Autobee. He loved his grandchildren Roni & Max Marquez, Kateri Medina, Jared & Brittany Villarreal, and Katelyn & Cole Potestio.
Tony is also survived by his brother Bill and 8 sisters: Lora, Vicki, Susie, Linda, Judy, Betty, Annie, and Esther along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held at Southwest Church of Christ at 1635 S Pueblo Blvd at 9:00 am and Service at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at the . A reception will follow the graveside service.
