Velma enjoyed swimming, gardening, and going to Cripple Creek. She will be remembered for her lemon meringue pie, and her laugh.
Velma is survived by her daughter Shirley Krasovec, and her son Daniel (Eugenia) Thurston; grandchildren Troy (Carla) Krasovec, Jeannie Thurston, Jennifer Thurston, and Jamie Thurston; great grandchildren Nicholas Krasovec and Rebecca Krasovec; her niece Patricia Leveille; her home health care team Annette, Jennifer, Emily, Bella, Lilly, Petrina, and Josie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A graveside service will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 at 2pm at Imperial Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Velma’s name to Sangre de Cristo Hospice.
