Born February 15, 1929, deceased September 8, 2021, surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his first wife Eleanor Albo, his four brothers, and one sister. Vincent is survived by wife Frances (Diiorio) Albo, her son Michael (Donna) Diiorio, his children Clarine (Drew) Clark, Jodene Albo, Patty (Herb) Brockman, and Vince (Laura) Albo. Also survived by 33 grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Born and raised on Goat Hill in a traditional Italian family, he completed high school as a Centennial Bulldog. He provided for his family while working at CF&I, sometimes taking other jobs when necessary. Vince was a man tall in stature and bearing. His calm exterior always hinted at a quick wit, stoic loyalty, and keen interest in life simmering just below the surface. He retired from the Mill after 42 years. He loved using his hands, and was a man who could fix or build anything. He enjoyed music, reading, and being with family. he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held Tuesday Sept. 14 at 4pm at TG McCarthy Funeral Home with a rosary at 6pm. Mass will be Wednesday Sept. 15 at 9:30am at The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, with interment to follow at Roselawn Cemetery. A reception will be held at the funeral home following the interment ceremony.
