

She was the beloved wife of Louis Resendez, and together they shared 59 wonderful years. Born in Rocky Ford, Colorado, she was the daughter of Jose and Margaret Sandoval.
Viola worked at Pueblo Manor Nursing Home as a head cook for 25 years.
She was a devoted member of the Holy Family Church. Viola enjoyed going with her husband to try different restaurants, visiting thrift stores, and exploring the new Amazon store. She and her husband especially loved spending time in Cripple Creek, often enjoying overnight stays several times a year. Viola also loved her Yorkie fur babies, Mimi and Miko, who brought her endless joy and companionship.
She will be remembered for her warm smile, her beautiful green eyes, and her gentle kindness.
Viola is survived by her loving husband, Louis Resendez; her daughters, Yvette Davis and her husband Brandon, Brenda Manzanares and her husband Robert, and Renee Dominguez and her husband Rafael.
She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Michael Louis Resendez, Jasmine Wray and her husband Tom, Ashley Brown and her husband Carlton, Race T. Gilman, Phillip Martinez II, Brandon Martinez, and Rafael Louis Dominguez.
Her great-grandchildren include Liam Wray, Luca Wray, Ashton Brown, and Leighton Brown.
Viola had many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, as well as many close friends.
A visitation and rosary will be held at Imperial Funeral Home, located at 5450 Highway 78 West, Pueblo, CO 81005, on August 18, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
The funeral service will take place at the same venue on August 19, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by graveside services at Imperial Memorial Gardens Funeral, Cremation & Cemetery, 5450 CO-78, Pueblo, CO 81005, from 12:00 pm to 12:15 pm.
A reception will be held afterward at Imperial Funeral Home from 12:15 pm to 2:00 pm.
