Wanda Marie Day, born on July 26, 1930 to Curnel Nicholas and Mary Sharp, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2018. She was greeted in heaven by her loving husband Lester, son-in-law Bob, and granddaughter Kimberly. She leaves behind 4 children Joe (Ginger) Wilson, Dixie (Dave) Evel, Michael (Wong) Wilson, and Sheila Trujillo as well as 5 step children Danny (Darla) Day, Floyd (Rita) Day, Jay Day, Jesse (Delores) Medina, and Darlene (Patrick) Mckenna. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren who will miss her Eskimo and butterfly kisses. She was the light of our lives, full of both happiness and love. She was a country girl who loved living on the farm and living the farm life. Her passions were baking special cakes, especially her most requested mud pie, cooking for her family, and watching the Broncos and her stories. Her smile was enlightening and hugs and kisses very comforting; her infectious laugh will be missed by everyone. Wanda's heart was bursting full of goodness, and she was the kindest, most joyful person. In her lifetime she was cherished as a wife, daughter, mom, sister, grandmother (GG, Granny), aunt, cousin, and friend. Mark Twain once said " The best thing to bestow on a man was to be born lucky". Our family hit the jackpot; her legacy continues to live through us all. A viewing will be, Wednesday, Aug. 22, from 5-8pm at Imperial Funeral Home. Service will be Thursday, Aug. 23, at 2 pm also at Imperial.
