Wendyl Jo (Neilson) Sandoval, age 65, of Pueblo, Colorado passed away on Sunday, April 14th, 2019. Wendy was born on October 8th, 1953 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bette Neilson, and brother, Craig Neilson. She is survived by her sister Terry Southwick, her loving husband of 30 years Sandy Sandoval, sons Matthew(Audra) and Daniel(Alyssa), daughter Kim(Danny), grandchildren Jacob, Macie, and Seth and her fur baby Grettel. At a young age, Wendy moved with her family from New Jersey to Indiana. She remained there until her mid 20's when the itch to move west became too great to ignore. It was in New Mexico where she met her husband,Sandy. After relocating to Lamar, CO, Wendy and her family finally settled in Pueblo. The magnetism of Wendy's personality drew in everyone she encountered and she took the time to engage with everyone she met. She truly enjoyed meeting new people and had the unique ability to make everyone feel special and important. Both her smile and positive outlook on life were infectious. She loved nothing more than spending time with family and close friends. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially in the mountains. She loved traveling, taking pictures, scrapbooking, and walking with her dachshund Grettel. Wendy's tenacious spirit will continue to live on and her courageous battle will never be forgotten.
