William M. "Bill" Abel, age 97, passed away Jan. 20, 2025, peacefully surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, JoAnn; children Karen (Ron) Gallina and Kathy Abel; grandchildren Chris (Cassie) Gallina and Brian (Sarah) Gallina; great-granddaughters Rylee and Raegan Gallina; numerous nieces and nephews.
William grew up in Pueblo, CO. He graduated from Centennial High School. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked at Weicker Moving & Storage and Cowen Crane Service.
He was a life member of BPOE #90 and member of Eagles Lodge. He loved fishing on the boat with his best friend Ken Renfrow, brother Jim and son-in-law, Ron. He enjoyed hunting and going to Cripple Creek and watching his grandsons play baseball.
He will be remembered for his love for his family, his good nature and smile.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27th at 11:00 am at Imperial Funeral Home.
