

Proceeded in death by Fern Verdel Gray, his wife of 66 years, brother James and sister Dorothy.
Mr. Forgie was the father of 5 daughters and a loving grandfather, and great- grandfather.
He went into the Navy after graduating high school, and was a Korean War Veteran.
As a young man he was a singer/musician for Chuckwagon Dinners in the Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs, where he grew up on a farm that later was purchased by the Air Force Academy.
He worked in the service of the government all his adult life and retired from the National Weather Service in December 1988.
Mr. Forgie was a long-time board member of a Credit Union. He was in his church for 55 years, SUDS ministry, and enjoyed woodworking to include creating toys for children during the holidays. Mr. Forgie also enjoyed swimming and watching the Broncos Football Games.
Friends are encouraged to share a memory at his Celebration of Life on Friday September 11, 2026, at 11 am at Imperial Funeral Home.
