Alma Jean Turner, age 83, of Lynnville, TN passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehab. Mrs. Turner was born March 2, 1938, in Louisville, KY to Luther C. and Geneva E. Kimbrough Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents and half-sister, Maxine Beddingfield.
Jean was a retired purchasing agent for Weather Tamer, Inc. of Columbia, TN. She was an artist, a pilot, a genealogist, a Titans fan and an active member of her church until she was physically unable to attend.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in Lynnville, TN at Lynnwood Cemetery.
Jean is survived by her children Angela Carol (Jimmy) Johnson and David Glenn Turner, as well as their father, Glenn Turner. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Matthew (Casey) Angus, Amanda (U.S. Air Force, MSgt Brett) Massey and U.S. Army, CPT Nathaniel (Rachel) Angus, DPT; and eight great-grandchildren: Liam Angus, Presley Angus, Alex Angus, Samuel Massey, Abigail Massey, Hershel Angus, Marshall Angus, and Michael Angus.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the American Diabetes Association.
