Alvin James Doss

Alvin James Doss (born December 23, 1948), of Pulaski Tennessee, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at the age of 76. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 48 years, Debra Jean, and two sons, Jason Owen (Rebekah) Doss of Madison, AL and Billy Joe Doss of Elkmont, AL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. He leaves behind his wife, his children, several grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as two sisters and a brother.

His life was his family. He loved all of his family with a passion that most can only hope to achieve. He spent his life as a true Millwright retiring from Nucor Steel in Decatur, AL in 2010. He was an extremely hardworking man who loved fishing, hunting and taking care of his home and land.

Most importantly, he left this world undoubtedly loving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He never missed a moment to proclaim his faith in Jesus to anyone who may be passing by at the time.

A memorial service will be held at his home church, Majestic Chapel (21315 Hays Mill Rd, Elkmont, AL), on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 11am to 1pm.
