

Mrs. Tillman was born October 13, 1949 in Pulaski to Charles Marion and Eva Brownlow Solomon. She was a 1967 graduate of Giles County High School, 1971 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, 1984 graduate of Tennessee State University with a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision. She taught in the Huntsville, Alabama City Schools and Giles County Public Schools and was retired from the Timken Company of Pulaski with 33 years and 6 months in the Human Resources / Training Department. She was preceded in death by her parents, paternal grandparents George Fuzell and Gladys Price Solomon, maternal grandparents John Miller and Rena Mae Petty Brownlow, and nephew Charles Hubert Crabtree.
Visitation will be Friday December 27, 2013 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Carr & Erwin Chapel with interment in Maplewood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Giles County Humane Association.
Survivors include her husband William Don Tillman of Pulaski, sister Brenda Solomon Crabtree and husband Lyndal Ray of Columbia, brothers Charles R. Solomon and wife Janie of Goodspring, James Marion Solomon and wife Mary of Buchanan, Virginia, Johnny Wayne Solomon and wife Jeanette of Pulaski, step-mother Dorothy Solomon, step-children Mary Haley Tillman of Prospect, William Brock Tillman and wife Lauren of Bell Buckle, step-grandchildren Paige Holley, Morgan Holley both of Prospect, Tinsley Tillman of Shelbyville, Cohen Abernathy of Bell Buckle, nephews Lyndal R. Crabtree and wife Ellen of Nashville, Michael Solomon of Antioch, Evan Solomon and wife Misty of Pulaski, nieces Michelle Solomon Williams and husband Tommy of Gallatin, Gracie Solomon Bowman and husband Luke of Brentwood, great nieces and nephews Ben, Joseph and Rachel Solomon, Jordon Rice and Eliza Bowman.
