Barbara Jean Sumners Smith

Barbara was born in Elkton, TN on October17, 1939 to William Morgan and Susie Florence Carr Moore. She was employed by Torrington Faffnir and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pulaski. Barbara loved the simple things in life and found great joy in gardening, watching flowers bloom, and occasionally playing the lottery. However, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, was the time that she treasured the most. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents William and Susie Carr Moore; 1st husband Bill Sumners; 2nd husband Charles Smith; great granddaughter Addison Stokes.

Visitation will be held from 10-12:45pm on Tuesday March 31, 2026 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home with Funeral Services following at 1pm at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Interment will be in Giles Memory Gardens.

Barbara is survived by her children Tracy Sumners (Beverly) of Frankewing, Terry Sumners of Pulaski, Kim Harber (Jeff) of Chapel Hill, Mike Sumners (Michelle) of Toney, AL; sister Frances Wilburn (Paul) of the Sumac Community; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
