Betty Jean Graves

Betty was born in the Sumac community on August 3, 1936 to James and Ruth Blankenship Prosser. She was very caring for others which showed through her work as a case worker for South Central Resource Agency. Betty also had a love of gardening, going to gospel singings, and was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands Julian Lee McCormick, Joe L. McCollum, and Don Taylor; grandson Kolt McCollum; sister Ernestine Rudd; and brother James Ulous Prosser.

Visitation will be held from 4-7pm Tuesday October 29, 2024 and on Wednesday October 30, 2024 from 11am until Funeral Service at 1pm at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Maplewood Cemetery.

Betty is survived by her husband Bud Graves of Pulaski; son Stephen McCollum (LaCreathia) of Columbia; daughter Sherian Fox (Keith Remer) of Nunnelly, and Sheila Dodge (Marty) of Carthage; sister Linda Bass of MO; grandchildren Matthew, Dawn, Lea, Julianna, Elizabeth, Kayla, Bryant, and Alana; as well as 17 great grandchildren.
