Mr. Shoemaker was born July 7, 1926 in Lester, Alabama to John Daniel and Maude Newman Shoemaker. He was an Army WWII veteran, retired machine operator at Gabriel, and preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 65 years Rose Magalene Musgrove Shoemaker.
Visitation will be Tuesday June 4, 2013 from 4 until 8 pm at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral will be 2pm Wednesday June 5, 2013 at Carr & Erwin Chapel with interment in Giles Memory Garden.
Survivors include one son Rickey Shoemaker of Pulaski, daughters Faye Lackey of Pulaski, Barbara Wolfe and husband Paul of New Albany, Indiana, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
