Don was born in Pulaski, TN on August 8, 1940 to Henry and Margaret Sanderson Brindley. He was a self-employed construction worker, farmer, a Vietnam Veteran proudly serving his country, and member of First Baptist Church. Don had a love of being outdoors working in the yard, traveling out West was his favorite trip, watching The History Channel or cooking shows so he could tell Janie what she was doing wrong, and much more. He dearly loved his family; however, he had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and spending time with them. Don is preceded in death by his father Henry Brindley; mother Margaret Harbison and stepfather Merle Harbison; brothers Ronald Harbison, Dean Harbison; sister Margaret Harbison Fitchett.
Visitation will be from 11-1pm on Tuesday May 27, 2025 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home with a 1:30pm Graveside Service following in Maplewood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests Memorial Contributions be made to First Baptist Church; St Jude’s; or Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
Don is survived by his loving wife Janie Brindley of Pulaski; son Ryan Brindley (Jennifer) of Pulaski; daughter Debbie Davis (Richard) of Pulaski; grandchildren Hillary Davis Pierce, Richard Davis, Jr., Samuel Brindley, Emma Grace Brindley; great grandchildren Christopher Davis, Gabrielle Braden; special friends Charlie and Margaret Norwood, Geneva Woodall, and Miles Woodall; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
